The Menominee River Wild Ride is the most extreme whitewater trip you will find in the Midwest. This trip runs along with our regular Menominee River whitewater rafting trips, but instead of the 8-10 person rafts we normally use, you will be in a much smaller 4-5 person raft. You will be closer to the water and to the whitewater action. The strong waves and currents that larger boats push through will toss your smaller craft around. Bring your best paddling buddies because you and your guide are going to need them as you challenge the mighty Piers Gorge.
Our normal trips run through the Gorge twice, but the Menominee River Wild Ride allows you to perfect your skills by going on one additional run, for a total of three runs through the Gorge. You’re going to need at least that many runs to successfully paddle this section of river. This trip is not for the faint of heart, and guests must be comfortable in the water.
Complimentary River Tubing
The morning Menominee River whitewater rafting trip has the additional bonus of an optional, complimentary river tube ride. At the end of the trip, you will have the option of taking a short shuttle back to the Menominee River Outpost or jumping in a tube for relaxing float back to Bombers Golf course.
This tube ride is only available after the 10:00 am Menominee River trip and guests must indicate their interest in the tube ride when checking in for their trip. If you have a PM trip scheduled at the Peshtigo River outpost, you may be advised not to take this ride. The ride will take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, so schedule accordingly.
