Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is one of the fastest growing sports in the country.  It evolved out of ocean wave surfing but adding a paddle helps to increase mobility and balance while allowing you to explore anything from lakes to rivers to oceans.  The unique vantage point allows you to see more of the horizon as well as what's below you in the water.  You will be surprised by how easy it is to paddle and how quickly you pick up this new skill.

This trip takes place on one of the many lakes near the Peshtigo River Outpost.  This particular lake is secluded so you and your group will enjoy the natural area without any distractions or other boat traffic.  It's protected from the wind by the surrounding forest which also provides great scenery for your trip.  Swimming is always an option so come prepared.

The trip will begin with your guide fitting you with the proper gear including PFD, paddle, and stand up paddleboard.  Class will then be in session as you learn a new skill and find your balance on the board (this part is surprisingly easy).  Once you're comfortable you can begin to explore what is both in and around the lake.  Your guide is there to make sure you are safe and having a good time.  Maybe you'd like to try some games on the water or maybe you'd like to try using your board as a platform for exploring what's below or maybe you'd rather just paddle around and relax while catching some rays.  No matter what option you choose you will for sure have a great time on your paddleboard and you'll go home having learned a new skill!
